About Our School
Sauk Prairie Middle School is a learning community devoted to the academic and character development of each student. We ensure a safe and engaging learning environment with a curriculum designed to meet the academic and social-emotional needs of all students.
We support around 600 students every year which equates to about 200 students per grade level. Our average class size is around 25 students. In addition to our core subject areas of math, science, social studies, and language arts (ELA), we offer a variety of encore classes. Our encore classes include, physical education, band, choir, Spanish, art, computers, health, life skills, music, tech. ed., and agriculture.
Four principals have served the students and staff at SPMS since its opening in 1968, Bob Enge (1968-1979), Ellen Paul (1979-2007), and Ted Harter (2007-2022). Our current principal and leader is Tricia Rodey (2022-Present).
