As they prepare for their next chapter in high school, our 8th graders conquered their most intense project of the year over the past couple of weeks! Students had to choose a prominent figure from US History and produce a "movie"/podcast analyzing the impact the person had on the USA. 8th Grade ELA and Social Studies combined to create groups and, in the end, create the 8th Grade Film Festival presenting their analyzations and claims on these figures from our country's history.

Career Day 2026 was a hit! From guest speakers, to the Amazing Race challenges, to Mini Manufacturing World our students had a great day!
Our soon-to-be Freshmen ventured to the high school library for a little library orientation. Great job representing SPMS in a positive manner everyone!
SPMS Track performed amazing at State today:
Quinn Moses is long jump Champ, and placed 5th in the 100m Hurdles
Sienna Ganser is 200m Champ w/ a meet record.
Allana Ortegron took 13th in 100m.
Both 4x100 placed 4th.

Everything they did today they had season and personal bests. Amazing performances by all of these athletes!!!
8th Grade students made a scale model of the solar system. They had to calculate the average distance of each planet from the sun in astronomical units and then convert to measure the distance between the planets.
Engineers at work! Students had to figure out how all of the pieces fit cohesively together to ensure that all gears turned at the same time.
